Can I give my property to my loved one now, during my lifetime?
In my job I hear this question a lot. Clients wanting to protect their most valuable asset, their home, for their loved one by gifting it to them now during their lifetime rather than see it swallowed up by residential or nursing home fees in the future. There is no getting away from the fact that, should you need care in the future, it is expensive.
