We know that most people will only have contact with a solicitor on a couple of occasions during their lifetime and that for this reason solicitors may not seem very approachable. We felt that people are treated less and less like individuals and that solicitors can be too quick to charge for every communication, with each letter, telephone call or email costing £25 or more. That may put some people off seeking help for basic legal needs for fear of how much it will cost.
We spend two hours a month in Kingsbridge library, Dartmouth library and The Mansion House Totnes giving free legal advice to anyone that calls in to see us.
